GMS are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Statutory Auditors based in Feering, Colchester who can deliver a personal and friendly service you would expect from a local accountancy practice coupled with the expertise of highly experienced accountants. We provide financial, accounting and auditing services to sole traders, partnerships and corporate clients from a variety of industries across Essex.

Hi, I’m Vinny the Director of Granite Morgan Smith. I’ve been in the accountancy world for many years and realise the challenges many businesses face. With specialisms in owner managed businesses, audits and the construction industry. I believe that having great communication with our clients is very important.

I like spending time with my family and dogs, I also enjoy socialising with friends at my local pub and restaurants in Maldon where I live.

Hello, I’m Dean a consultant of GMS and finance officer of a large labour agency in London. I’ve been with GMS for many years and have a vast experience of owner managed businesses, Audit and the construction industry.

In my spare time I enjoy visiting my Spanish abode and watching Tottenham play. I also enjoy wining and dining with friends.

Hi, I’m Lynn and I am Vinny’s PA and office administrator. I have been with Granite Morgan Smith since 2013 where I started part-time as an admin assistant. Having only worked in the music business previously, staring afresh in a completely different industry was a challenge but rewarding.

On a personal level, I moved to this lovely part of the country from East London in 2002 and am a lifelong Hammers supporter!

Hi, I’m Jules and I joined GMS in 2019 as an Administrative Assistant. Prior to this I worked for the Metropolitan Police Service as a Cost Centre Manager for 12 Years.
I really enjoy my role at GMS offering support to both our clients and the team here in the office.

Most of my spare time is spent with my two children but I do enjoy a good box set occasionally! I also sing in a Function Band at weekends which is very different to the day job!!!

Joanne Hearn

Hi, I’m Joanne and I joined GMS as a manager in April 2019. I’ve worked in the accountancy industry for over 10 years on clients ranging from large companies to SMEs and everything in between. I specialise in Audit, but also have a wide range of experience in preparing company accounts and corporation tax returns.

On a personal level, I’m kept busy with my husband and three young children but when I do get some spare time I enjoy running and baking (although not at the same time!).

Hello, I’m Zoë and I’m one of the semi-senior accountants at Granite Morgan Smith. Since I started as a trainee in July 2015, I have passed many exams which is helping me achieve my goal of becoming a chartered accountant. I now draft limited company accounts and prepare self-assessment returns.

In my spare time I enjoy watching Braintree Town F.C., well sometimes when they aren’t losing.

Hello, I’m Sian and I joined the team at Granite Morgan Smith as a semi-senior accountant in the summer of 2020. I have worked accountancy for the last 7 years, concentrating primarily in personal tax, but now I draft self-assessment tax returns and limited company accounts.

I have been a member with the AAT for 10 years and my goal is to become a chartered certified accountant.
In my spare time, I enjoy sailing and any adventures I can get up to with my children.

I’m Toni and I joined GMS team in 2020 as a Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant. Although I have been employed in an accounting environment all my working life, I have only recently started studying for my Level 3 AAT which should take around 2 years.

In my spare time I enjoy yoga, Kayaking, walking my 2 dogs and relaxing at the beach hut with my family.

Hi, I’m Clair I started my career in the banking industry working in London, Australia and Singapore. I have been AAT qualified since 2016 and been working in practice since 2012 – I joined GMS in 2020.

When I am not working, I enjoy travelling, spending time with family, friends and a large G&T! I can be found most weekends on the side-lines of a rugby field, watching my children play.
